t-shirts and games!

As I mentioned before, it's the 50th year of friendship between Australia and Korea, so a company called JK Entertainment somehow organised an amazing concert with 12 KPOP groups to fly out here!!

They were 2AM, TVXQ, C.N BLUE, MBLAQ, SHINEE, B2ST, SNSD (Girl's Generation), KARA, Miss A, Secret, 4Minute and SISTAR!

Anyway, I made a t-shirt using the freezer paper method which I lugged over from the US a year ago, yeah, I know, I finally used it for something!

I've been told the back seems a little empty so I might add some more lyrics when I have time (even though the shirt's been used now, lol)! The t-shirt also looks a bit crumpled as it hasn't been re-ironed yet.

My friend made her own t-shirt too, she put all the group names in felt ont he back of her t-shirt, a lot of effort but it looked fantastic :)

Also received some freebies from the day event and garnered some interested stares at my 'Like" banner XD (I've repainted the white section and waterproofed the whole front)

I also made this Korean Jegi at the Powerhouse Museum, which is sort of like a Korean hacky-sack, which I failed dismally at playing >.<

 Instructions!

1. Take about 3 pieces of A4 tissue paper

2. Place a washer on the bottom edge (of the long side) and fold it over to the other end.

3. Pokies it with a pencil.

4. Now we're going to pull each end through the hole, it's a bit tricky but here I am folding the end of the paper over so it will fit through...

5. Put a rubber band around the base to secure the paper.

 6. Tear the paper into think strips and fluff up the jegi.

And it's ready to play with :) if you're wondering about the colours...I made two lol

Made this card for a highschool friend who really loves his RPGs, especially Zelda! One of his favourites is the game Golden Sun. I once gave him a copy of Zelda/Minish Cap for his birthday as well!

I sort of had the idea of using the felt to make the costume already, but I couldn't think of how to get Link onto the card so in the end I ended up making just the costume. I'd always wanted to buy those cute little craft pegs but as I didn't have any at the time I just used two gold safety pins (which I think are possibly the ones they give you at City2Surf to pin your number on). And that is stuck onto a Happy Birthday ribbon.

[On another note, I ended up buying those little pegs a few months later, I bought a DVD for my friend and needed to wrap it, but without scissors and tape, I ended up tearing tissue paper and clipping it together with the pegs - note: it didn't really work! (I'm not going to buy new scissors and tape lol) ]


The costume is made from:
- green felt
- white foam
- green cardboard
- gold ribbon
- 'L' shape, from a kid's mini beading set, the L actually had two small rings at the top which I pulled off

Accessories

Sword, Boomerang, Boots: All just cut-out from cardboard, although I painted the sword silver



Slingshot: cardboard
Bombs: black paper (from a magazine), bubble stickers, thread
Shield: cardboard and raised with foam stickers

This was the first group card I made for 2011, actually, I don't think I've made one for months so had to go have some fun with this. Had some trouble envisioning the final design and with the printer settings but made it through in the end! (Was it painful drawing all those dots? Maybe a little XD)

Elements
-plenty of printed pictures, the dots were redrawn with a pen
-rhinestones of all colours and sizes
-apple holepunch from 100-yen store in Japan

-Pacman is actually made from foam, I had a set of smiley face foam circles which I reversed
-as I had already cut the paper up, the black was initially an A3 piece, I stuck two pieces of cardboard with a rhinestone brad (stampin' up) (Yeah, I so did not need to especially buy an A3 piece of cardboard -_-)








from the left: chopticks, made them mysself =D; tomato sauce- the edges cut with zig-zag scissors, kettle for hot water and the actual cup noodles!
